I'm loving all of this snow! I can't wait till Brandon is old enough to get all dressed up only as soon as he goes outside to play in the snow! So much fun!

First Christmas Party

We went to Whitney's house for a white elephant party. It was a lot of fun. Brandon loved to look around and see all the different people. He cried for a little while and then we left to nurse. Then our friend Rose fed him and he ate a lot. We added Bananas to his diet and he loved them! We have tried it for 2 days. We are going to do it for 4 days to make sure he doesn't have a reaction. We are going to either try squash or sweet potatoes next. We are going to wait for a while. Probably till we get back from Denver on January 4th. Brandon is going to go on his first airplane ride. We are going to see the Broncos play and get to see Denver. I'm excited to get out of Albuquerque for a while. I'll put pictures up soon!

17 weeks

Wow I cant believe that he is almost 4 months. He has been doing a lot lately. He is getting better at grabbing toys and bringing them to his mouth.
He has started eating rice cereal. He does really well with swallowing it and opening his mouth for another bite. I cant feed it to him fast enough. He loves it. He was ready for it. He couldn't get enough milk to make him satisfied.
He has been hanging out with buddies and is going to have a lot of friends his age.

He is focusing on things and people now. He smiles when I walk in the room or he sees me smiling at him.

He is growing up so fast and I love to see him advance. He makes me smile even when I am having a bad day. He has been waking up every night for the last 3 weeks but I am working on letting him put himself to sleep and not allowing himself to get used to us getting up and putting his Binky in. He is doing better at naps although he still cries through the whole thing every once in a while. He is laughing more and figured out that it makes a noise when he breaths in hard. Its really funny. He hates tummy time but rolls over on his back when he really focuses.

I love being a mom and it not only keeps me on my toes but I am learning so much about what makes this boy happy and what he doesn't like. I am loving getting to know this boy.

Brandon grabbed his first toy and started gumming it by himself. Ill put pictures up soon. Sorry I have been very busy! He is almost 4 months. Can't believe it!

Wednesday, November 11, 2009

Brandon learned how to blow bubbles with his mouth the other day. Trying to work on the attachment by letting others hold him and calm him down. Its hard!

Friday, November 6, 2009

Wow! We made it to the 3 month mark. I can't balircr how fast the time went. I love being a mother and getting to know this little boy. I am so blessed!

11 weeks

I can't believe my baby boy is 11 weeks. Time has passed so fast. He has not gone to the doctor. We are still waiting to set up an appointment because of all the people who have the flu. Brandon is getting so big and doing so much. The weather change has been big on how fussy he is. I also think he has reflex and cries a lot in the afternoon and evening. He hasn't been sleeping very well at night and during the day. I could use prayer in how to handle him and his constant crying. Its hard to hear my baby in so much pain. I could use some prayer because I haven't been able to get much sleep either the last week. I am in desperate need of some sleep and I know that will help in how I handle Brandon. I could use some prayer in patience. When he isn't crying he is a happy baby. He loves to talk and coo. He smiles all the time. He is starting to grow out of his 3-6 month PJ's. and will be in 6 month soon. Although he is still in 3 month onsies because he has a skinny torso he is just really long. He is still in size 1 diapers. He has been grabbing onto things more especially blankets and he brings them to his face when he is tired. The swing and bouncer has helped with his reflex and I usually let him sit up for about 30-45 minutes after he eats. I know its only a stage and it will pass. He loves to stare at me. Its nice that he likes to look and study me. He likes to sit more than he did. He used to just want to stand but now he is OK with sitting. He will follow me as I walk across the room. When he cries it sounds like he is saying "mama." I know he is crying but I like to hear and think he is calling me when I know he doesn't know what he is saying. I love being able to stay at home with him.

I don't like the weather change. I should move to Arizona where it is always hot. I would never move there cause Ben wouldn't let us move there. Hehe.

Life is good. I know it is hard right now but it will get better but I could use lots of prayer!

2 months

He smiles so much! I love it! The other day we got him to laugh 4 times. He is such a happy baby! He can make eye contact and have a cooing conversation with me. He will sometimes do it with other people. He is still a pretty shy baby. I knew he was shy in my belly. He would move so much at home and then we went out into public and he would stop and not move at all. He loves to grab and hold onto blankets, shirts, necklaces. He can follow a moving object or person walking across the room. He loves to stand. He can hold his own weight on his legs and will push off of my legs while standing. he is on a every four hour schedule. He eats for 30 min, is awake for an 1 hour and a half and then sleeps for two. He has been sleeping through the night since he was 6 weeks old. He sleeps from 9 30 pm to 8 am. Ben and I are so blessed to have him. We went to the balloon fiesta and he slept most of the time but Ben and I had lots of fun.

8 weeks

Brandon is getting so big! He is 8 weeks and one day. He likes to smile but he would rather talk to you. He is over 11 pounds last time I weighed him. He is in 3 month onsies and 3-6 month pants and foot PJ's cause of how long he is. He is getting big but it is so exciting to see him developing and using his hands and eyes more. I can stand him up on my legs and he will hold his weight and push off of my legs. He is really strong and wouldn't be surprised if he walked early like London. It is really cool cause he is really recognizing me and Ben and I loved to see how excited he gets when he sees us. It is so cool to be a mom. He has his first nap down in the morning. He goes down between 9 and 9:30 and sleeps till 12. I'm still working on the afternoon nap. It is hard cause he has gas and it hurts him. Its hard to hear him cry but I'm trying to teach him to go to sleep on his own. It hurts my heart but I know that it will be worth it in the long run.
We went on Brandon's first walk. We went to the fair a week ago and that was so fun. We just went for a couple of hours and walked around, got some cotton candy, and saw the dogs jump into the pool. I had fun but I don't think that Ben did. We are going to the balloon fiesta tomorrow. It will be so much fun. I love seeing all the balloons and it will be Brandon's first year going. I'm going to take lots of pictures!
Ben started his new job with his dad yesterday and he loves it! It was hard for me to see him so stressed but now he is great and comes home happy. It is a lot more laid back and Ben has a lot more freedom!

Well that's about it. I love being home with Brandon and I love seeing him grow and develop!

First bath and bottle

Yesterday we gave Brandon his first bath. I had taken a shower with him after his cord fell off and that was fun but it was awesome giving him is first bath. His bathtub has a temp gage so it tells us if the water is too hot or cold. Its pretty awesome. Ben was able to feed him out of a bottle which was pretty awesome he said. We aren't planning on giving him a bottle all the time but wanted to see if he would take it. My nephew wouldn't take a bottle and she was pretty limited on how long she could be away from him. She suggested that we try it sooner than she did to see if he would take it. He did and it was pretty special to see Ben feed him.

Birth story ( if you don't like details then don't read)

Ok so Brandon is almost 4 weeks and I thought that I really should write down his birth story! I hoped that I wouldn't have to get induced. I tried everything to go into labor... sex, orgasm, rubbing nipples, hot food, pineapple, jumping jacks, walking, and bouncing on a yoga ball. Fun stuff... that is what my last month of pregnancy consisted of. Well none of it worked for me. On Wed. August 5th. Almost a week after my due date, I went in at 7:30 in the morning. The night before I took a Benadryl and had a great nights sleep. I checked in, got my room and waited for the doctor. I had breakfast about 8 and then the doctor came in about 9 am. He put in a cervix softener pill and said I was 2 cm dilated. I had to lay flat for an hour, got up to go to the bathroom and then layed down for two hours. Then we started to walk for two hours. The contractions were going but they weren't getting intense. So at 12 we redid the same thing. The contractions were a little stronger and at about 4 pm I was 3 cm dilated and the doctor broke my water. It was the weirdest feeling in the world to have no control of a gush of water that went every where. The contractions really started. I progressed to 5 cm... the nurse we had was nice but she said that I was 7 and I wasn't. At 5 cm... I stopped progressing and I stayed there all night. It was very discouraging when I was having contractions and I wasn't progressing. In the morning at about 9 am the doctor checked me and I was still only 5 cm. I had been talking about getting an epidural but was not quite sure about it and scared to death to get one. There is something freaky about a needle going into your back. There could be so many complications. He made a decision to put me on Pitocin. The most evil thing ever. Right away I started to have harder contractions. About an hour later they upped my Pitocin. After that the contractions were every two min apart and lasting a minute, minute and a half. I was in so much pain that the screams came and were ear curling. I went about an hour and was checked. I was 7 cm. Which was good cause I was progressing but I couldn't handle the pain anymore. I asked for an epidural... my family and I prayed about it cause I was still a little scared but I instantly had a peace about it that I hadn't had before. It was about a half an hour before I got the epidural and it was so hard to sit completely still while the intense contractions raged on. I was able to do it and I instantly felt relief. I was able to rest and still have contractions. 4 hours later the doctor came in and told me that I was ready to push. We were all excited because it had been a crazy two days. I started to push and it took me a few minutes to get it down. The baby started to crown and the doctor was called in. He said that it would still be a little while and he would be back in later. I continued to push and not even 10 minutes later his head was almost out. The nurse told me to stop pushing while she called the doctor. I stopped but Brandon didn't and the nurse had to catch him. This was a different nurse as they switch shifts on the 7s. Her name was Jennifer and I loved her. We were very blessed to have her! Because the doctor wasn't there to message I had a 3rd degree tear and there were a lot of stitches that went in me. I guess that I tore up to my rectum. I was in pain when the meds wore off. Brandon Daniel was born on August 6th at 3:23 pm. He weighed 9 pounds 5 ounces and was 22 and a half inches long. He was beautiful and I cried when they put him on my chest My sister Whitney and I rubbed him down while we waited for the baby nurse who took her time showing up and when she did come she told us to rub him... which we were doing. She took him and wouldn't bulb suction his nose and lungs and my sister offered to do it but the nurse got mad and finally bulb suctioned him. The doctor walked in 3 minutes after I gave birth and got mad at me for pushing and not waiting for him. Everyone but my nurse were not very good. I got to breast feed my baby after they sewed me up. Brandon had a little trouble latching on but finally got it when we went home and is amazing now. After 2 hours they were going to move me upstairs. She pulled the epidural out which they shut off right after the baby was born. My left leg was still numb and couldn't really walk on it. As soon as she had pulled it out I got really light headed and dizzy. I layed back for a while and thought I felt better. They helped me go to the bathroom and I thought I felt ok but as the nurse was helping me up I fainted. I stopped breathing I was told. The baby's nurse came back in to "help" but just stood there watching me. and decided to help when my sister told her to move so she could help me. She was pretty scared because there could have been something seriously wrong with me. Thank God there wasn't. They gave me smelling salts and when I woke up I seriously thought that I I just fell asleep. I made it upstairs and Ben went with Brandon to get his exam done. We had to stay in the hospital for 2 days because my water had been broken for 24 hours and they wanted to make sure both of us didn't have infections. While we were there he got all kinds of tests done. Glucose tests because he was so big, ultrasound of his kidneys which turned out normal, blood tests to make sure there was no infections, and his PKU. I had to take iron because my blood count was down. It was a busy, family filled, getting to know Brandon, and breast feeding two days. Although it was tough to be in the hospital for so long it was also nice. We were able to have the nurses help us. Ben and I slept in a twin bed together. Although it was squished it was nice to be close to him! Ben has been an amazing help. I don't know what I would do without him! Brandon is an awesome baby and we are so blessed to have him. I am definitely in love with both of my boys. So that is my story... hope you liked it.

35 weeks

I made it to 35 weeks. It isn't 36 weeks yet but I really do feel like I have made it really far. I went to the doctor yesterday. They did the strep B test and then checked my cervix. It was closed but the doctor said that the baby's head is down and everything else looks good. I have now gained 29 pounds and my uterus measures 36 in from top to bottom. He says that everything else looks good. I am now on weekly appointments and they are going to check me every week. The thing that I'm worried about is hemorrhoids. I have gotten them easily from the time of high school and I know that during birth I will get them. I ask for prayer that I wont get them as bad and they would heal quickly. I only have 3 and a half more days of work. I am so thankful cause I have so much to do around the house to clean and get ready for my little one. It has been really fun to go through this journey and now it is almost over and I'm about to start a new one with a child. I am worried about being a good mom but I know that this has been my calling to have children, so I know that my heavenly father will be with me every step of the way. I know I'm going to mess up big, lots of times, but He will be here to lift me back up to try again. I'm so thankful for Ben cause he is going to help me lots and we both are ready to start this new journey of our lives. Well that is about it. I would like to put up a picture but I will have to upload it later. Thank you for all of your prayer and I would love for you all to continue to pray.

34 week belly picture

34 weeks

These pictures are from last week. I was 33 weeks in these pictures. I am a little late but I am going to talk about my doctors appointment last Thursday. I measured 34 in and I still have room so I know that I'm only going to get bigger. The heart beat was 145 which is good. I am up 26 pounds pre pregnancy. I get heartburn with everything I eat even when I don't eat. My appetite has slowed way down and have not had a want to eat a lot. I have one more two week appointment a week from today. the doctor said that he was going to do the strep b test and check my cervix. That is exciting cause I know that I am getting closer. I only have 2 weeks till I am full term and can have him. It is so exciting to know that he will be here soon. It is getting harder and harder to sleep every night. There are few that I am able to get a full nights sleep. I am exhausted everyday. I think that it may be harder because I have 16 three year olds every morning. I then sit at a desk all afternoon and do nothing. It is hard to get anything accomplished when I go home cause all I want to do is lay down and put my feet up. I only have 8 more days until I am staying home full time. I know that I will be able to get a lot more done. Ben and I have already tried to install the car seat but had to take it out again to bring stuff home from the baby shower. It fits good and is going to look great! I am not able to do anything this next week. I have a lot to do in July. I will be busy!

The room

The room is coming along. I have all the big furniture that I need. I just need the bedding, changing pad, and a few little things. We painted the walls brown and green and I really like how it turned out. I will put pictures up when it gets closer to being done. I'm hoping that I will receive most of what I need at the baby shower. I'm so excited. It is a week from tomorrow. The crib and changing table match. I love my changing table cause it has so much storage space and it is the perfect size. Life has been crazy recently but I'm so glad that the room is coming together. I will have more time in July to really get down to business and get everything situated. I want to organize and get storage for the non-existent space that we have. The final touch will be him here so he can enjoy all the hard work that his daddy and I have done to welcome him to our family.

32 weeks

So I guess I was wrong about my belly. I see it all the time so I didn't notice a difference. My sister said that he dropped so I am lower and also bigger. I'll post a picture next thursday. I also have a doctors appointment next thursday so I'll fill you in about what the doctor says. I can't believe that I am 32 weeks already. Time has passed and I hope that it passes quickly the whole time. I hope that he is early!

31 weeks almost 32

It has been a great 31 weeks. I really have nothing to complain about. I have had some back pain and heartburn but so far my pregnancy has gone so smooth and wonderful. Ben has been so great and has helped me though the whole process. Its really funny cause Ben has figured out how to scare baby b. So every time Ben makes a certain noise than baby b jumps and moves all crazy especially if baby b is sleeping. I love the times that Ben talks to the baby and loves on him. I know Ben is so excited to meet baby b and be a daddy. He is going to be such a great daddy. I have been getting a little worried about labor and delivery. I know that the reward is so great, but I have been scared a little of the pain. I am trusting god and know that he is in control. My plan is to put up a picture at 33 weeks. I haven't gotten much bigger but just firmer. Pray as we get ready for the baby. We are doing a lot of stuff to our house before he gets here and it is quite stressful!

30 weeks and kidney stones

I turned 30 weeks and went to the doctor. On Wednesday morning I experienced pain in my right kidney. I called the doctor and the nurse said to come in and get my urine tested to see what was going on. I left work early on Wednesday to go take the test but I was in so much pain that I went home and tried to relax. I had lost my phone earlier that day and so I couldn't call anyone to take me. I slowly looked for my phone. At about 1 I took some Tylenol and at about 2 it finally relieved some of the pain. I found my phone which was in a huge pile of clothes and called my mom. My mom told me to call my sister and so I did. My sister was able to take me and about 3, I was able to take the urine test. I wouldn't get the results till the next day. I went to work on Thursday and I was in so much pain all day. My doctor told me that my urine showed no bacteria and so I didn't have a urinary tract infection but that it showed protein and blood so it was most likely had a kidney stone. He also told me that everything is looking good. He wants me to come back every 2 weeks since I am so far along. Then he told us about the ultrasound. His kidneys have not gotten worse but not better either. He said that our baby's kidneys will have to be looked at by the pediatrician. My plan is to call and meet with Dr. Koil. I know a lot of people who use him and say he is outstanding. Then Ben and I were on our way to preregister and I slipped on some water. It was very scary to all of a sudden be on the ground. I didn't land on my belly which is good. I landed on all fours. I had to give a statement to a security guard. Well we were able to preregister and then were able to get a tour of the hospital. I really liked the hospital and I think that it will be a nice atmosphere. The day was very eventful! On Friday I woke up pain free and I was so happy and thankful! It was a great weekend... lots of time with my wonderful husband. We went shopping for food to restock our freezer and we were able to stock up a lot with all the sales. Well that is about it. He has been moving like crazy and I enjoy feeling him! Ben and I can't wait till he is out and we can finally get to know him personally.

29 weeks and update

It has been a really long time since I wrote anything or put up any pictures. So much has happened since then. First, I passed my glucose test and everything is OK with that. Second, I found out what is wrong with his kidneys. The tube that connects to the kidneys is dilated and his body isn't using it. Since his body isn't using it, urine is collecting in his kidneys. Its not a big deal and should be gone by the time he is born but the doctor wants to keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't get any worse. The worst case is that if it is still there when he is born than they will stick a tube into his kidneys and drain it that way. Ben and I are trusting God and know that His plan is best. Next I had another ultrasound and got some really good pictures of his face. It was so good to see him again. He weighs 3 pounds 12 ounces. He gained almost 2 pounds in one month. I think that he looks so much like Ben and I can't wait to see his face. Last but not least my work threw me a baby shower. They were beyond gracious and generous. It was so exciting getting all of the items that they gave me. Oh and after my baby shower yesterday, I came home to my deep freezer not working. The power outlet went out, not sure when, and everything went bad. It was very stressful but I was told that it is hopefully covered in our homeowners policy. So hopefully we will be able to get reimbursed for all of our food. We are going to contact the insurance company on Monday. My mom came over to help me yesterday with organizing all the baby clothes and stuff that I got from my baby shower while my dad helped Ben with the flooring. The flooring has been hard to do and Ben has worked almost everyday this week to get it done. It is almost finished and it looks so good. It is going to be so worth it when it is done. We have been extremely blessed and I am so thankful to God for everything that he has helped us with. Pray for his kidneys still, the freezer situation, and that Ben and I would continue to trust God in everything.

Third ultrasound in April

This picture is from my third ultrasound on April 13, 2009. I didn't have the CD and so I finally got it back and am now able to put it up. He weighed 1 lb 14 oz.

Ultrasound and Glucose test

I was thinking about it and I have thought that I turned a new week every Friday but the more I thought it is every Thursday. On Thursday I will be 25 weeks. It well be exciting. I had an ultrasound yesterday checking the kidneys. Everything seemed to look good but we will find out on Tuesday. He was 1 pound 14 ounces and measured one week farther. Even though I was 24 weeks and 4 days the measurements were saying I was at 25 weeks and 4 days. I knew that he was going to be a big baby. We also confirmed that it is a boy. Good news... we don't have to re register! I also had my glucose test today. It wasn't too bad but it just stunk that I had to do it. The orange drink I think tasted like that orange cough medicine that you have to take when you are a kid. It just tasted like it had 10 cups of sugar. I had a headache when I woke up and it made it worse but other than that it wasn't so bad. The hour went by fast. I just hope that it is negative so that I don't have to do the 3 hour one. That is about it I'll have pictures up soon and news from ext weeks doctors appointment. Have a great day.

Doctors appointment

I went to the doctors appointment on Tuesday. He had a little concern because I gained 9 pounds in a month. I'm not worried about it because I barely gained any weight before. I am now watching what I eat and eating more protein so that I don't eat as much. I'm drinking a whole lot of water too. I am having to force myself to drink it but I know that in the long run it will be better for my body. My doctor wants me to do a whole lot of blood tests to check my blood sugar and see if I have had fifths disease before. A couple of weeks ago there was a start of an outbreak of fifths disease. For anyone who doesn't know what it is. It is a rash that is very contagious. It isn't a big deal to most people. It is a big deal to those who have sickle cell disease and who are pregnant. If you are not more than half way through your pregnancy it could very well hurt or kill the baby. My doctor isn't worried about it because first I have worked with kids for a long time and have very well could have had it before and second I am more than half way through my pregnancy. So my plan is to get the blood work done on Monday. The doctor also said that they want me to have another ultrasound because they want to look at the kidneys again and make sure that everything is OK. Its nothing to worry about but I'm so excited to see him again! I'll get more pictures of him and that will be good.

We got a crib on EBay and we will hopefully get it next week. We are almost done cleaning out the room. We just don't have a lot of time during the week and last weekend was Ben's birthday and it was a whole lot of fun celebrating his birthday. We have been blessed by so many people. Ben's dad and mom have already bought a lot on our registry. We registered at Babies R Us and Target and are way excited about it. I have two showers that people are planning for me but we don't have any dates yet.

My ultrasound is on Monday and I'll update the info soon after that. You all have a great day!

23 weeks

I am sorry that it has taken me so long to put up another blog. God has been very good in that he has had many people be gracious to me. It is exciting to see my family and friends step up and be so generous. I already have three baby showers that people want to through me. God has given more than I could ever imagine. God has been by my side through everything. I have had some problems at work and He has been by my side getting through that. It has also been so cool to grow closer to my husband! Ben has been so amazing through everything. He has been very unselfish, giving, and kind. I am so glad that I am going through this experience with him.

Well my stomach has grown so much. It is exciting to see it grow and know that my son is growing and every week that passes is another week that I'll be able to meet my son.

We almost bought a crib yesterday but it fell through and we are just waiting on God to provide the best crib. We still have a lot to do in the baby room. We have to take the computer, filing cabinet, and all the other junk out to finally be able to put a crib, dresser, changing table, etc. Ben is going to paint one more wall green and one white. I think that we are going to try to put up pictures of animals on the white wall. Not sure yet though. We are going to leave the futon and the cooler in because of the convenience of having a bed and water in the room. The rocking chair is in and it feels kinda like a baby room. We are already collecting stuff that people have given us. The room is coming along and it looks good.

The dogs and cat know that something is going on and they are really touchy feely and want a lot of attention from mom and dad. Its so funny!

Well I have a doctors appointment next Tuesday and I will have a lot of blood testing to do so that will be fun. I'll write more next week about my appointment.

20 weeks

20 weeks

The ultra sound was wonderful. First of all it was so great to see my baby again. It was really cool to see the sex and my tech was amazing! At first the baby did not want to show us was he was. The tech had to go back 5 times to finally get him to open up his legs. We all thought for sure he was a girl and didn't want to open up. When he finally did there is no denying that he is a boy!!!! My tech really communicated with me what was going on, what we were looking at, and didn't give up on looking at the sex. Thank God!!!
I never thought I would see myself with boys and the more and more I think about it... I am so excited cause this is the future that God had in mind for me. It is really cool to see God's plan and that He knows exactly what He wants for me. Ben is so excited for a boy... he finally gets his football playing and watching, hunting, camping, fishing buddy. He has a sense of pride about him now that he knows he is getting a son. It is really cool to see.
Baby B, as we call him, is moving like crazy. He is very active and I love it. Every time he kicks, moves, and every minute I am growing more and more in love with him. It is so cool!!! Ben loves feeling him kick. The other day Ben was kissing and talking to his baby boy and the baby kicked him in the lips as Ben was kissing my stomach. It was like the baby was kissing him back. It was so cool!
We are going to tackle the office, soon to be baby room this weekend. It will be cool knowing what we are planning for. We are also going to register. That will be fun.
Anyway... nothing new has really happened. I have gotten bigger and it is a little more uncomfortable to sleep but I know that it will be rewarded.
Thank you for praying. God is Good!!!

Dr. Appt.

I had my doctors appointment and I am 19 weeks and 5 days. It went really well. The heartbeat was good and 166 beats per minute. He measured my stomach and it was 21 in. My blood pressure was good and I have only gained 3 pounds since my last appointment. That is pretty good less than a pound a week. The Doctor was not very talkative last appointment but he came in his usual self this week. He explained things in detail and he is very easy to talk to. I had blood work done for down syndrome and it came back negative. I am supposed to be in a 1 to 1100 ratio but I am actually in a 1 to 600 ratio. It seems a lot lower but he said to not worry because if it was 1 to 300 it would be something they would have to look into. He wanted me to schedule an ultrasound and he said that they would check it then just to make sure.

I called to schedule an ultrasound and God totally worked it out. Last week I asked my mom to pray that the ultra sound would be scheduled wed, Thur. or Fri of the next week. I realized that I was asking God to do it in my time and not his. I then started to pray that He would do it when he wanted to and I left it in His hands. Well I called to schedule it and the lady asked if there was a specific time that I would like to do it. I said that i would like it this week if possible. She said that she had one on Thur. at 1, which is when I am at work. I asked her if she had anything sooner but she said no. I said to go ahead and put my name down and I would call my boss to see if that would work. Well she took all of my information and then said wait I have on on Friday at 8:30. I said that would be perfect. It worked out for everyone who wanted to come. It was a total God thing and He is so good! I'm just glad that I realized that I wasn't trusting Him like I should.

Well so everything seems good, I will find out more on Friday and hopefully be able to see if it is a girl or a boy. I really would like to know. I know that it is all in God's hands and I have to trust him. I will let you know how the ultrasound goes.

Thank you for all your prayers. If you could continue to pray that I will be able to catch up on sleep. The time change really effected me. I desperately need sleep. Its getting to the point were I can't function. Prayers would really help. Thank you!

18 weeks

I feel bigger than last week. I can feel the baby kick all the time now. it feels so wierd but cool at the same time. It is definatly addicting and I don't want it to stop. It is such a magical feeling to know that you have a little one growing inside of you. I can still fit into one pair of non-maturnity jeans which I am wearing in the picture. I wear them as much as possible. I can rap a rubberband around another pair to keep them up. My mom and sister are making me bella band, which is streachy and it goes over your pants and under your shirt, so that I can wear my pants longer and the bella band will keep it up. I'm excited about that. I have my next doctors appointment a week from tuesday. They will have me then schedule the ultrasound and I will be able to find out what it is. I have had a really hard time waiting for my ultrasound. I am excited and nervous at the same time. I still have no clue what it is. I am carring high but that doesn't mean anything cause every person carries different and it doesn't mean that if it is high it is a girl, and low is a boy. Well anyway, my body had been changing. I feel sexier and have more confidence in myself now that I am showing more and people can tell that I'm not just fat. Hehe. Well that is about it. You all have a great day!

17 weeks update

I am 17 weeks. Wow the time has passed so fast. My goal is to put up pictures tonight or tomorrow. I am definatly growing. The baby bump gets harder all the time. Its really cool to see it grow. I'm trying to put coco butter on everynight. Its difficult to remember. I just need to gett in the habbit. Its so awesome cause now it feels real that I am pregnant cause I can actually see it growing. I have still been really tired and have a lot on my plate. I gain an inch a week around my waist. Right now I am 43 in around and I started out at 39. I have only gained 2 and a half pounds since I weighed myself last. I love it when Ben kisses and talks to the baby. My abs still hurt all the time. Its hard to get comfortable in chairs. I start to cramp up and my back hurts. The baby is kicking alot and it feels stronger everyday. It feels like someone is poking me. I smile everytime I feel it cause I know that it is doing well and growing. Only 3 weeks till we will know what we are having and be able to call it by name, only in private, since we aren't telling anyone the name. It will be hard to keep that secret but I think it will be a good surprise. I'll hopefully be able to put pictures up soon.

17 weeks

I have noticed a big difference in how I am carrying the baby. At first I was carring low and now it is way high. I will put pictures up next week. I am still not sure what it is but I feel that I am getting bigger and bigger everyday. Its nice to finally see the progress of the babies growth. I have 3 more weeks till I have my next doctors appointment on March 10th. I'll be able to schedule my ultrasound and then find out what we are having. Both Ben and I are anxious to find out. Other than the position of my belly, nothing has changed much.

Update

I had a doctors appointment yesterday. I went with my sister and it was a really good bonding time. I got to see my handsome nephew too. Well I am going to get blood tested for down syndrome and something else. I know my sister told me but I don't really remember. My blood pressure was good, we heard the heartbeat, and the doctor said that the growth of the baby is good and where it should be. I have been feeling the baby move every once in a while. Its different cause it feels like someone is poking you from the inside. I also can feel my uterus growing and stretching. It feels like I have been working on my abs for hours cause it is so sore. I have also been experiencing bloody noses every morning for almost 2 weeks. Its kinda annoying but very normal. I decided that a humidifier might be just what we need. I am just very thankful that this baby is doing well. I was also told by the doctor that he likes to do the ultrasounds at about 18-20 weeks that way you can for sure know what the sex is. It still may look like a girl before 18 weeks and change to be a boy later. So I will have my next appointment on March 10th and I will be 19 weeks. So then I will be able to schedule the ultrasound hopefully soon after that. It will be exciting. I ask for prayer in that God will give me what I need to get through everyday. That I wont take for granted what I have already been blessed with. Thank you and my plan is to put up another picture soon. I can tell that I am getting bigger but it may not be a huge difference.

Picture trouble

I am trying to get pictures up but for some reason it isn't letting me. I will get them up as soon as possible.

Our story

I have never really had a blog before. Its kinda cool to write all of your feelings down. My husband and I just found out... well I guess we have known for 11 weeks, that we are expecting our first child. We will find out what it is in about 5 weeks which is so cool! Well I guess I can tell you my husband and my story. I met Ben 6 years ago at The hights community center. We started dating a couple months later. We dated for 3 years before he asked me to marry him in late June. My mom, sisters, and I worked very hard for a month and Ben and I got married on July 29th, 2006. We were married and I'm not saying that it wasn't hard but these last three years have been amazing. I have gotten to know an amazing guy. He has stood by my side through thick and thin. I am amazed at how God worked in giving me this guy that I can say is my other half. He completes me.

Anyway, We found out on November 22, 2008. I knew before then but that is when we took the test. It was so awesome to see that we were finally getting our dream of starting our family. the funny thing is that it only took a month. We got health insurance on November 1st and started trying right away thinking that it would take a couple of months. We were pregnant on the 4th of November, although we didn't know it at the time.

My body has changed so much. I am starting to show which is so cool. About a week ago I started feeling the baby inside me. It feels like butterflies are in my stomach. It is so cool to already have bonded with this little one inside me.

So today I am 14 weeks and 1 day. I am in my second trimester and I need to start on the room. Right now we have done nothing except buy a rocking chair. Ben's dad has a girlfriend and that girlfriends daughter is going to give us a crib and everything so we don't even have to buy it except for a new mattress.

Well anyway that is about it.
