I am going to write a post that talks about what I have been dealing with on discipline. I am learning how to be a better parent, discipline in love, and training Brandon to be a man of God!

My body is hurting so bad
I can barely even stand up, walk, or even rotate sides without experiencing major pain.

18 months

Wow time has passed way to fast. He was 18 months on the 6th but I am not updating you... sorry kinda behind.

He is getting better:
Putting words together. He says:
The ball
The book
Mama up
Daddy work
Jesus loves you
More please
bu-by
He repeats alot of words that you say.

Throwing balls: man does this kid have an arm
Pointing things out and saying their names.
Still loves to go places. He now says "bu by" and goes to the door.

New:
5 new teeth
Says Thank you after anyone gives him anything. So cute.
Can say baby b's name. Yesterday he said "my baby bruber"
Can climb onto the couch by himself.
Started crying when we leave him somewhere.
Gets more excited to see his daddy come home. He waits at the window and says "daddy"
continually.
Loves T.V. and will get the channel changer to turn on his "shews."
can climb stairs standing up and doesn't have to crawl up or down.
Can jump and get both feet off the ground. He actually gets some air.

Size:
Still in size 4 diapers.
Wears mostly 18 month clothes but some 24 month
size 6 shoes

Thoughts:
Everyday Brandon melts my heart and reminds me why I wanted to be a mom. I love him so much. I love watching him interact with other kids, play at the play ground, read books, play with toys, and just love on me everyday. It is nice that it is getting warmer and everyday this week, we have made it a point to go outside and play, take a walk, or play at the park. He is growing up so fast but developing
He is going to be such an awesome big brother. He interacts with kids so well. Sometimes he is rough but he likes to mostly kiss and hug other kids.

Dr. Appointment:
Head: 18 1/2 in
Weight: 28.2
Height: 32 in
I also talked to my doctor about Brandon's right leg bowing more now. He said that it is normal and will usually correct itself when he becomes 3 or 4. Although he is sending me to an orthopedic specialist to make sure that nothing major is happening. We scheduled an appointment on the 14th of March with a doctor that is supposedly really good. Could use prayer about the whole situation. I am also taking him to a chiropractor to adjust him to see if that helps. Brandon just laid on the table and let the chiropractor do their thing. The chiropractor ended up being more expensive than I expected so we are going to go see a chiropractor that Ben, my family, and I have seen for a really long time. He said that he can adjust pregnant woman and Brandon as well. We really like him and he is cheaper. I'm thinking that getting Brandon and I adjusted more regularly may help us. Especially with my labor.

Understands what yes and no mean and lets me know.

New:
Words words and more words. He is in the stage where you ask him to say something and he will. It may be hard to understand but he will try his best to say it. He has his main words but his vocabulary is growing every day. He has learned where some of his body parts are and how to say them. He has learned what a dog says and I am trying to teach him what the other animals say.

Very little crying at nap time. He now lays down and lets us cover him with a blanket. He will cry for a minute and then either talk himself to sleep or fall asleep right away.

He loves books. I know that isn't new but he is learning how to sit still while we read him a story. He loves to look at the pictures and point to all the things on the page. He will also read it to me and tell me his version of the story.

That is all I can think of right now but hope you all enjoy this holiday season and celebrating the birth of our lord.

I get to pick up our Christmas cards today and they will be going out in the mail very soon!

14 Months

Happy Boy!

He loves the beanbag.

Family picture at the balloon fiesta.

He loved the balloons!

Firetruck

Football Sunday!

I'm sorry I missed Brandon's 13 month update.

Update:
He is walking really well. He gets up by himself and has fun exploring new places. He is starting to really play with his cousins and friends. He has a shape ball that he brings to both Ben and I to help him put all the shapes in the ball. He is starting to talk a lot more. Examples are "mwlk" (milk) "UP," "BAWOON" (balloon), "ight" (light), "that," and "ot" (hot). He says "mama," "daddy" and "GUck" (his own word that he says with a whole lot of passion). He speaks in full sentences but we have no idea what he is saying. He has learned how to sign; More, please, all done, and thank you. He knows the difference between each one cause he signs each one at the correct times. He understands so much. I can ask him to put things back or bring them to me and he obeys. He has started to run when we call him to come back and we are working on that. He is becoming more and more independent everyday. I am loving watching him grow and learn so quickly.

Brandon is in size 4 diapers, size 5 shoes, and size 12-18 month clothes. He learned how to take off his diaper so I have walked in many times to a completely naked baby. No poop yet. I have had to make sure he has pants on.

My baby is getting really big!

12 months and Doctor visit

I thought you all deserved an update. I have no pictures cause I am not at home. He has been up to a lot this month. He is still in size 3 diapers. He wears 12 and some 18 month clothes. He wears size 4 shoes. he takes 2 naps, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. He eats everything and anything that we eat. Things he loves are reading, he will turn the pages and babble, he could do that for hours, push his airplane, smile at everyone, make funny faces, and play with his cousin and friends. he also loves to say "no no no" and throw fits when he doesn't get his way, and give hugs and kisses. Things he has learned are how to sign more and he uses that when he wants something. We are working on please, and how to walk. I'll put up a video soon. He walks everywhere. We also went camping and taught himself to stand up on his own. He has also learned how to recognize voices. He knows who is talking. we both have our long and hard days but Brandon brings so much joy to my life. He lights up my day and knows just how to cheer me up. He is so happy and everyone just lights up when the see him and can't help but smile. He loves to make everyone laugh and will keep doing something if you laughed. i am so blessed to be his mom and I am enjoying every minute with him.

Doctors visit went really well. Poor Brandon got 3 shots. He cried a little more than usual but I guess that the nurse didn't do the shots right so that is why it hurt him so bad. He weighed 21.8 lbs 25th percentile and measured 30 1/4 50th percentile, he was moving around so much that it was hard to get an accurate measurement. Personally i think he was taller. His head was 14 1/2 10th percentile. Everything else sounds good and looks great.

I will put up pictures and videos soon.

11 months

Oh my Brandon. you are 11 months old today. It is only a month till you turn 1! Mommy and Daddy are planning a huge fun birthday party! This month you have done a lot of new things. You pull yourself up on everything and let go so you can stand on your own. You have also learned to pick up toys from the ground from a standing position. You also stayed away from mommy and daddy for the first night. You did wonderfully! You are so smart and you blow mom and dad away with how much you know and have learned. You have learned that the toilet has water, the dogs food tastes pretty good, and how to say "goggy" (doggy). You have also learned to shake your head no and yes, especially when you know you are doing something you shouldn't be. You recognize people you see a lot, You still love food, and you love to play with your toys. You love to be chased, love dogs, and warm water. You are so good at napping and still sleep through the night. No major new foods this month. You wear 12 month with a few 6-9 month clothes. You wear size 3 diapers. You weigh 19.6 pounds and just recently got your first sinus infection. Poor baby, you haven't been yourself for the last 5 days. Mommy and Daddy have started a parenting class to learn how to better discipline you God's way. You are a special boy and we are so blessed to have you in our lives. I'm so thankful that God has allowed us to take care of you and raise you to be a godly man who loves Jesus and puts Him first! We love you so much

10 months

I can't believe that you are 10 months! You have gotten so big! You wear size 3 diapers, 9 month onesies and 6 month shorts. You have 2 bottom teeth coming in. So happy you finally have teeth! You still love your food and rice milk. This month we have completely stopped nursing during the day. You only nurse morning and night. You eat Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner like a big boy. You pretty much eat whatever mommy and daddy eat except eggs, cow milk, blackberries, peanuts, and honey. You have tried everything else and love it! You have started to crawl on your hands and knees and are getting so fast. You will pull yourself up on anything that you can, sturdy or not. You have learned to walk along the furniture and want to climb on everything but haven't mastered that yet. You love to walk while holding onto fingers and I know you will be walking soon! You also have learned to sit from a standing position. You have blossemed this month. SaSa and Gramps say you have gone from a baby to a toddler. You personality is shinning. You have learned to really recognize faces and you can't control yourself when you see your cousin London! You two have so much fun together and went swimming in a pool together. It is so much fun to see you learn and you light up when you realize new things.
