My First Mothers Day

I know this is a day late but I had my first mother's day yesterday. It was so much fun. I got to hang out with both my boys today. We went to church and then my family and I were going to go to the zoo. Well on our way down there we got Jason's deli, yum yum, and then my sister called and said that they couldn't find any parking. So all of us decided to go to the Aquarium instead. We ate lunch outside and went in to see the fish. It was pretty busy so we didn't stay long. We then went to Route 66 diner. We had milkshakes for dinner. Then Ben, Brandon and I went home and just chilled, watched a movie and had a relaxing evening. Ben got my an hour massage from a lady in Rio Rancho. I'm excited. It will be such a relaxing time. My wonderful sister gave me a gift certificate for a pedicure. So nice. I have been wanting one and haven't had one this year. Thanks to my boys and my family for making my day so special. I am so blessed to have Brandon as my son. He is such a happy, fun, playful, and sweet little boy! Thank you Lord for Brandon!

Update on life.

My mom and Brandon's SaSa got some awesome sunglasses for him for Easter. They are so cute on him but he wont leave them on long enough to do any good in protecting his eyes. Maybe it will get better and he will think its cool to wear them.

Stephanie and I go to the zoo and the aquarium. A lot of my friends and I have zoo passes. Its so nice to get out of the house and know that I can go to the zoo or aquarium for free cause it is already paid for. We like to go at least once a week.

Brandon and I love to get out and look at the fish!

Man do I melt every time I see that smile. He is in his big boy car seat and he loves it!

I decided that I was going to be brave and try spaghetti. I used brown rice pasta and some vegan marinara sauce. It was so much fun watching him eat it. It was a mess but Brandon sure had fun! I love that I can experiment new foods and so far Brandon has loved everything except peaches.

Brandon loves to eat! No one can get in the way of him and his food. I think it is so funny cause Brandon isn't a chubby guy. He wasn't even on the charts when he went to the doctor last time. I'm pretty sure he has a hollow leg.

Brandon

My friend Stephanie had a blog that she posted today. It was all about names and how they found the name for thier little boy. I thought I would do the same thing. When Ben and I found out that we were pregnant, all we could come with was a girl's name. I was for sure that we were having a girl. I'm not sharing it cause we would like to keep it a secret in case we have a girl. When we found out that we were having a boy, we kept coming up with names but the other wouldn't like it. Ben is into the Denver Broncos and on the team is a man named Brandon Stokley. Ben heard his name and really liked it. I didn't like it at first but it grew on me. Next was the middle name. My sister had named her first little boy after my dad so we decided to name Brandon after Ben's dad whose name was Daniel. That is how we named our little boy Brandon Daniel.

9 months

Wow you are 9 months today. I can't believe that in only 3 months you are going to be one. You have been up to so much this month. You are still in size 3 diapers. You wear some 12 month clothes. You are so thin that you wear 6 month shorts but so long that you wear 9 month pants. I bought you some belts that help keep your pants up. You love food and rice milk. This month you have tried blueberries, cherries, potatoes, spaghetti, and cheese. You love it all. The only thing that you don't like right now is peaches. We will try it again when Gramps and SaSa have home grown peaches at their house. You are so close to crawling on your hands and knees although you do army crawl across the floor and your daddy says that is crawling. You have started holding onto things and standing up but haven't quite pulled yourself up yet. You have pulled yourself up on me but it takes you a while. You also hold onto mommys fingers and walk across the floor. You have been watching your baby can read and have learned how to clap, wave and give 5. You love to give kisses and get so excited to see your daddy walk in the room. You still grunt at people to get their attention. You are getting so big. I am so happy to be your mommy!

Update

SO I have been told that I have been a bad blogger by a friend. I would have to agree. I get so excited and love reading all of my friends blogs but have decided that it takes a lot of time to blog. The pictures take forever to load. I have also decided that I am going to get better. I want this as like a journal so I can look back and see what I have done with my life. I want to remember the important and the fun times. Its hard for me to sit down and just write. My goal is to do that now. Set time aside so that I can share my life with people. Thank you to all my followers. Its nice to know you all care about my life!

8 months

You are such a big boy! I am having so much fun with you! You went to the doctors. You weighed 14.6 pounds and measured at 27 in long. You have tried asparagus, baby broth, beans and I am making your oatmeal now. You are going to try cherries, blueberries, and potatoes this month. You love food! You haven't tried anything that you don't like. If it is food you will eat it. You are on a 4 hour schedule still. You nurse at 7, 11, 3 and 7. You eat at 7, 11, 3 and 6. You are rolling like a pro now. When you are on your belly, you can push yourself up to look over your crib. You want to go places but just kick your legs back and forth and can't go anywhere. You love to jump in your jumper. You are at a stage where you don't have to be with mom which is so nice. You love it in daycare while mom works out and everyone loves you. You have fun with your cousins and friends. You have been swimming once and to the zoo twice. You smile and laugh when daddy tickles you. You are getting so big. I can't believe that you will be a year in 4 months. I love being your mommy and it is so fun to play with you and talk.
